By accessing, browsing, or utilizing the services provided by GISTECHNEWS.com("the Platform"), including our WebGIS Map Dashboard, client-side vector utilities, and educational guides, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of the Platform immediately.
2. Permitted Use of Geospatial Utilities
Our suite of browser-native utilities—including the Vector Clip Tool, Universal File Renamer, Excel Spreadsheet Merger, Document Compressor, and PDF Slicer—is made freely available for personal, educational, research, and professional spatial analysis.
You agree not to reverse-engineer, exploit vulnerabilities, launch automated denial-of-service (DoS) requests, or scrape platform assets in a manner that degrades service performance for other global users.
3. Educational & Computational Disclaimer
All geoprocessing calculations (including geodesic polygon area, linear distance, and coordinate conversions between WGS84 and UTM) are performed client-side using open-source mathematical libraries (Turf.js and Leaflet).
While engineered for high scientific fidelity, these tools are provided for informational, screening, and educational purposes. Computations must not be treated as legally binding cadastral surveys or certified engineering demarcations. Official boundary filings require on-site validation by a licensed, government-certified land surveyor.
4. Intellectual Property & Educational Content
All original educational tutorials, code walkthroughs, UI components, and branding on GISTECHNEWS.com are protected by international copyright laws. You may execute and adapt code snippets published within our tutorials in your own personal and commercial projects without royalty. However, republishing our written tutorials wholesale on competing portals without explicit attribution is strictly prohibited.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GISTECHNEWS.com, its authors, and contributors shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages resulting from the use or inability to use our tools, coordinate conversion errors, file corruption during in-memory compression, or reliance on tutorial methodologies.
